Princess Ann Tignor, 57, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 in Thomasville, NC.
She was born in Conway, SC, October 23, 1953 and was a daughter of the late John Edward and Goldie Bessant Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Tignor.
Survivors include her son, Joshua Tignor of Lexington, NC; daughter, Martha Williams of Abingdon; two brothers, James Simmons and wife, Margaret of Conway, SC and Buddy Simmons of High Point, NC; two sisters, Isla Roberts of Thomasville, NC and Betty Fowler and husband, Ed of Thomasville, NC; grandchildren, Colby and Devin Williams; great granddaughter, Maya Love Williams special sister-in-law, Arment Simmons; and a special niece, Linda Tignor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 31, 2011 in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA with the Rev. Olen Cassell officiating. The family will receive friends at the Forest Hills Chapel from 6:00 until 7:45 P.M.
Committal services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 1, 2011 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon.
Pallbearers will be David Tignor, Lee Underwood, Daniel Simmons, Colby Williams, Devin Williams and Danny Boardwine. Honorary pallbearer will be Andrew Cassell.
The family of Mrs. Tignor is under the care of Farris Funeral Service-Forest Hills Chapel, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210 (276) 623-2700.
