Rachel Elizabeth Lowe Fields

Rachel Elizabeth Lowe Fields, age 72, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Russell County Medical Center.
She was born on February 8, 1942 to the late James Albert "Jim" Lowe and Cynthia Watson Lowe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Arthur Fields; daughter, Carolyn Jesse; and brother, Pete Lowe.
She is survived by three sons: Jim Fields of Abingdon, VA; Joseph Fields of Meadowview, VA; and John Fields of Abingdon, VA; daughter, Barbara Stallard and husband Morris of Saltville, VA; son-in-law, Barry Jesse; brother, Elijah Lowe and wife Hazel of Abingdon, VA; sister, Marie Gobble and husband Bo of TN; sister-in-law, Edna Lowe of Abingdon, VA; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6th at Mt. View United Methodist Church on Rt. 75 with Clark Powers and Howard Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Methodist Cemetery where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
