Ramona Dancy Garrett, age 82, passed on Friday, March 8, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Gertie Snodgrass Dancy; husband, Roy Garrett; and daughter, Twila Garrett Rosenbalm.
She is survived by one grandson, Aaron Rosenbalm; brother, Neal (Helen) Dancy; nieces, Cindy Baker and Gail Frega; nephew, Timothy Dancy; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN with Pastor John Stapleton officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Shaun Eggers and friends at Abingdon Manor. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Special thanks is extended to Mrs. Garrett's caregivers and residents of Abingdon Manor, Teresa Pennington, and Hometown Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 246, Abingdon, VA 24212, or the charity of your choice.
