Revonda Lee Bostic, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at the Cambridge House. Revonda was a life long resident of the Brumley Gap Community of Washington County and a member of Fletchers Chapel. Mrs. Bostic was known for her love of wearing and collecting hats and was an employee of Abingdon Harwood for 35 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mary McNew Pickle; husband, Cecil W. "Jack" Bostic; and two brothers, Forrest and Harmon Pickle.
Mrs. Bostic is survived by her son, Danny McCray and wife Jane of Springhill, FL; daughter, Peggy Jones and husband Robert of Bristol, TN; brother, Kermit Pickle of Landrum, SC; sister, Neva Childers of Abingdon, VA; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Reverend Ronald Matney and Reverend Scott Price officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Forest Hills Chapel prior to the funeral service.
A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fletcher's Chapel in Mrs. Bostic's name.
