Richard Andrew Roark, 73, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 in Grace Healthcare in Abingdon.
He was born August 31, 1937 in West Virginia and was a son of the late Rev. Charlie and Lockie Roark. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are his four sisters, Martha Burton of Abingdon, Ethel Anderson of Abingdon, Betty Council of Raleigh, NC and Patty Cressell of Bristol, TN and several nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to extend special thanks to the staff of Grace Healthcare.
Funeral services for Richard Roark will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Sunday, May 29, 2011 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Eddie Gobble officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:45 P.M. Sunday at Farris Funeral Service.
Committal Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 30, 2011 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Those attending the committal service are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 1:50 P.M. Monday.
