Richard Paul Robins

Richard Paul Robins, 68, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at his home in Abingdon.

He was born August 26, 1942 in Washington County, VA and was a retired welder. He had attended Temple Baptist Church

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pauline Robins; his wife, Brenda Montgomery Robins and a former wife, Betty Garland.

Survivors are his children, Mary Rasnake and husband, Dual, Randy Robins, and Kathy King and husband, Curtis; grandchildren, Candice Artrip and husband, Andy, Dakota Rasnake, Jonathan King and Jeremiah King; great granddaughter, Hailey Artrip; Step Children, Marshall Lewis and James Lewis; step grandchildren, Marty Lewis, Alex Lewis, Nancy Venable, Krystyn Lewis and Erika Lewis; step great grandson, Logan Lewis; and special friend, Mary Ennis.

The family would also like to recognize and thank Dr. William Baker and Staff.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Farris Funeral Service or anytime at Mr. Robins' home, 245 Taylor St. Abingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 5, 2011 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor John Wesley Price officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dakota Rasnake, Jerry McCracken, Marshall Lewis, James Lewis, Dave McCracken and Andy Artrip. Honorary pallbearers will be Lemuel Wheeler and James Broyles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for the benefit of Mr. Robins' grandchildren are appreciated.
