Ricky Lee Wise

Abingdon, Va. – Ricky Lee Wise, age 63, of the Brumley Gap Community, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020, following an extended illness. Ricky worked as a roofer and also as a farmer. When not working, he loved spending time in the outdoors, especially fishing and camping in his favorite spot, Hidden Valley.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, J. C. (Jake) Wise and Barbara Ellen Mabe Wise.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 29 years, Anita Louise Wise; four sons: Anthony Wise of Brumley Gap, Jason Wise of North Carolina, Zachary Wise of Brumley Gap, and Christopher Alexander; one daughter: Ashley Garn of Damascus, VA; two brothers: Randy Wise, Tim Wise (Melissa), both of Brumley Gap; one sister: Joyce Penson of Tennessee; six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. with Dr. Donald Thayer officiating.
