Roger Allen Lawson

Mr. Roger Allen Lawson, age 55, passed away on Friday March 29, 2013 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was a native Floridian but had lived in Washington County, VA for the past 40 years. Roger was an outgoing prankster, who loved fishing and the outdoors. He was known to always take up for the "little guy." Roger loved to cook and had worked at the Martha Washington Inn in Abingdon. He was a Christian; having accepted Christ and professed his faith. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Lawson.

Roger is survived by: his daughter, Bonnie Jean Lawson-Thompson of Ocala, FL; father Clonnie Lawson of Meadowview, VA; companion Linda Goulart of Meadowview, VA; brother Clonnie Lee Lawson of Bluefield, WV; nephew Michael Lee Lawson of Bluefield, WV; and niece Kira Elizabeth Lawson of Bristol, TN; grandchildren Kolby Allen Lawson and Madison Elizabeth Mumford both of Ocala, FL. Also surviving is his best friend and God Father to his daughter Tom Moody of Texas.

A Celebration of Life for his family and friends was held at his home on Saturday March 30, 2013.
