Sandra Eileen Doss Colley

Mt. Carmel, TN - Sandra Eileen Doss Colley, age 59, passed away on Thursday May 8, 2014 at her home. She was formerly employed at McDonald’s in Abingdon, VA where she held the position of “Star” for 10 years coordinating birthday parties and special promotions at the restaurant. Later she worked as a janitor at Sullins Academy in Bristol, VA alongside her husband. She never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She also enjoyed flower gardening and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Pruner Doss; daughter, Barbara JoAnn Gentry; and three brothers, Dewey Doss, Oscar Doss, and Wayne Doss. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Tom R. Colley; mother, Ora Magdalene Rouse Doss of Abingdon, VA; son, Cameron Randall Colley of the home; two daughters, Vicki Lynn Gentry of Abingdon, VA and Misty Dawn Tyberski and husband George of Roseville, MI; seven brothers, Harvey Doss, David Doss, Clayton Doss, Ronnie Doss, John Doss, Shirl Doss, and Joe Doss; two sisters, Carolyn Barnard and Mary Scott; and three grandchildren, Kayla Moody, Samantha Moody, and Zachary Tyberski. Tom would like to express a special thanks to Mary and Shirl for their support during their sister’s time of need. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. -1:45 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Charles Fitzsimmons officiating.
