Sandra Sue Sollien went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2012 at her home. Ms. Sollien was born and raised in Grundy, VA and moved to Abingdon in 1978. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Gladys Sollien, brother, Casey Sollien, and dear friend, Mr. Felix.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher (Dana) Harr of Lander Wyoming and Adam (Camilla) Harr of Canton, NY; two daughters, Valerie (Jeffrey) Ringstaff of Abingdon, VA and Morrisa (Scott) Nagel of Raleigh, NC; brother, Scot (Glinda) Sollien; sister, Gladiola (David) Compton; three grandchildren, Joshua Ringstaff, Samantha Ringstaff and Zoe Nagel; and dear friend, Shirley Belcher.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Homesley officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 4:30-6:00 P.M. just prior to the service at the church.
