Sarah Elisabeth Young Rainey

Bristol, VA – Sarah Elisabeth Young Rainey, age 25, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015, at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Sarah was born and lived in Daytona Beach, FL, and later relocated to Williamsburg, VA with her family. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern Islamic Studies and Sociology from Emory and Henry College where she met her husband, Stephen. After graduation, Sarah and Stephen made their home in Southwest Virginia where she was employed at Universal Companies in Abingdon. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Rainey; parents, William “Bill” and Lynne Young of Abingdon, VA; father and mother-in-law, T.O. Rainey, III and Sally Rainey of Dinwiddie, VA; brother, Christopher Belfiore; brother-in-law, T.O. Rainey, IV of Atlanta, GA; and sister-in-law, Kelly West and husband Madison of Dinwiddie, VA. Visitation with the family will be held 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
