Sarah B. Moore Logan, 90, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Greendale Home for the Aged.
She was born July 11, 1921 in Washington Co., VA to the late George Palmer and Katie Meadows Moore. Mrs. Logan was a member of Blackwell Chapel United Methodist Church for over 63 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Logan and by three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her son, Roger Logan and wife, Jeanette of Abingdon; one brother Walter Moore of Hopewell, VA; one granddaughter, Sarah "Kathy" Logan of San Diego, CA; one great-granddaughter, Emily Talerman; three sister-in-laws, Irene Moore and Elaine Moore of Meadowview, and Lorene Logan of Washington, DC; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Mrs. Sarah Logan will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 3, 2011 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Scott Spence officiating. The burial will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 4:00 -6:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blackwell Chapel United Methodist Church, 8329 Blackwell Chapel Rd, Meadowview, VA 24361.
