Sharon Owens Sutherland, 62, passed away Friday, July 24, 2009.
She was born February 9, 1947 at her Grandma's house on Sandy Ridge in Dickenson County, VA. She attended Virginia High School, Bristol, VA and had worked as a secretary, a nurse's aid, an accounts payable clerk and a bookkeeper.
She was of the Old Primitive Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Beuna Owens of Bristol, VA.
Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" Sutherland, two daughters, Pam Dile and her husband Chris and Dawn Duarte and her husband Luis all of Springfield, TN, a step-daughter, Robin Parker and her husband Hobbs of Bristol, TN, four grandchildren, April Sisco and her husband Darren of Springfield, TN, Owen Lash and his wife Sabrina of Ocoee, Florida, Chris Lash and Lacy Todd both of Springfield, TN, two step-grandsons, Davey and Noah Parker, Bristol, TN, three great grandchildren, a sister, Lana Duty and husband Dee of Big Rock, TN, a brother, Blaine Owens and his wife Robin of Bristol, VA.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel, 427 East Main Street. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 28, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel.
