Shirley Doss Hutton

Shirley Doss Hutton, 76, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Smyth County , VA on July 10, 1936, to Josephine Doss and the late Blaine Doss. Shirley was a faithful contributor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital , she loved children and all children were special to her. She and her joyous laughter will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Blaine Doss and one brother, C.J. Doss.
Survivors include her mother, Josephine Doss of Chilhowie; one son, David K. Hutton of Bristol, TN; one daughter, Sallie Beth Hutton of Whitsett, NC; two brothers, Doug Doss and his wife, Velma of Chilhowie, Ronnie Doss and his wife, Jennifer of Chilhowie; four sisters, Agnes Odham of Chilhowie, Joyce Smith and her husband, Ken of Chilhowie, Betty Lamb and her husband, Jerry of Greensboro, NC, and Mary Doss of Chilhowie; two grandchildren, Madie Beth Hutton and Jacob Kyle Hutton; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Jerry Miller officiating. The interment will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park . Pallbearers will be Chris Doss, Jeff Doss, Greg Smith, Mike Doss, Randy Lamb, and Glenn Naquin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Doss, Jimmy Louthian, Tim Smith, Gary Odham, Keith Smith, Justin Naquin, Scotty Naquin, Barry Doss and great nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 6-8:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place , Memphis , TN 38105 .
