Shirley Newton Snead, 77, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in Brookhaven Nursing Home is Kingsport, TN.
Survivors are two sisters, Hattie Daniels, East Orange, NJ, and Elizabeth Newton, Capitol Heights, MD; two brothers, Kenneth Taylor and Scott Newton; one aunt, Mrs. Ethel Smith, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Snead will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Monday, August 17, 2009 in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA with Pastor Donald Swift officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Men of Charles Wesley United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Monday.
