Steve Ammons

Steve Ammons, age 70, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at his home. He was born on February 4, 1946, to the late James William Ammons and Maude Gilcrest Ammons. He was a carpenter by trade and attended Palestine Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alisha Nicole Ammons.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Ward Ammons of Glade Spring, Va.; two sons, Anthony Ammons and fiance Ruby of Bristol, Va. and James Ammons and wife Peggy of Glade Spring, Va.; daughter, Stephanie "Sissy" Nichols and husband Jeremy of Selma, Ala.; two brothers, Charlie Ammons and wife Ruby of Selma, Ala. and Sammy Ammons and wife Peggy of Piedmont, Ala.; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.A memorial gathering will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Palestine Baptist Church, 26292 Watauga Road, Abingdon, Va. 24211.
