Abingdon, VA - Talitha Davenport Henegar, age 89, passed on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Valley Health Care Center. Talitha was of the Baptist Faith and a devout Christian. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sanky Davenport and Lona Francisco Davenport; husband, William B. Jack Henegar; daughter, Peggy Burke; sisters, Zola Lewis and Clara Crenshaw; and brothers, Norman, C.W., Everett, Lawrence, and Gene Davenport.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Penny Amos of Richmond, VA, Teresa Taylor and husband Gary of Abingdon, VA, and Amy B. Lawson and Husband Brian of Abingdon, VA; seven great grandchildren, Payton Amos, Lindsey Snead, Sierra Snead, Adriana Snead, Kaylee Taylor, Emily Taylor, and Christian Lawson; one brother, Herbert Davenport and wife Gloria of Meadowview, VA; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Beverly Owens.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Randy Davenport officiating.
