Tammy Jane Martin , 49, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 2, 1967 in Washington County, Va. to the late Charles June Martin and Virgie Lucille Roark Martin.
Tammy was a graduate of Abingdon High School and had worked as a nurse at Grace Health Care. She loved spending time with family and friends and her five cats.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Danny Martin and C.C. Martin.
She is survived by one daughter, Emily Brannon of Abingdon and good friend Melissa Mathison; two brothers, Rickie Martin of Abingdon, and Kenneth Martin and wife Patricia H. Martin of Bristol, Va.; and one sister, Shirley Denton and husband Bill of Denton Valley.
A memorial service for Tammy June Martin will be held at a later date.
