Tracy D. Crabtree, a well known member of the community, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of Joyce Counts Crabtree and the late James Otis Crabtree. She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Otis Crabtree, and her grandparents, Garland and Hattye Counts and Otis and Emma Crabtree.
Tracy was a 1987 graduate of Abingdon High School and recently received her degree from Kaplin University. Tracy was employed by Securitas Security, Washington County Sheriff's office, and a member of the County Life Saving Crew.
Survivors include her mother, Joyce Counts Crabtree of Abingdon, VA; her brother, Travis W. Crabtree and his wife, Cherri Crabtree of Charlotte, NC; two nieces, Kacey and Sydney of Charlotte; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 6-9 pm at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 am at Knollkreg Memorial Park with Rev. Barbara Farmer and Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery are asked to assemble at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service by 10:30 A.M. Friday. Tracy's cousins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Washington County Life Saving Crew and the Washington County Sheriff's office.
