Virginia Eileen Poston Smith

Virginia Eileen Poston Smith, age 74, passed away at her home on Friday, July 5, 2013. She was born to the late Mason Fields and Virgie Martin Fields in Lebanon, VA on October 16, 1938.

She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Roscoe Poston, as well as her second husband, Frank Smith; two brothers, Kenneth Fields and Jimmy Fields; and sister, Rebecca Ann Gobble.

She is survived by her son, Jackie Poston and wife Selena of Abingdon, VA; daughter, Sandra Poston Davenport and husband Kevin of Bristol, VA; two grandsons, Jason Davenport of Simpsonville, SC and Brent Davenport of Bristol, VA; five sisters, Loretta Reynolds and husband Marvin, Sue Fields and husband Don, Marie Wooten and husband Randy, Joyce Keith and husband Clyde, and Sheila Spencer and husband Junior all of Abingdon, VA.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, July 8th at the funeral home with Pastor Eddie Gobble officiating. A committal service will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Kevin Canter, Gary Gobble, Jerry Jackson, Steve Jackson, Cliff Price, Jeff Ralston, and David Reed will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hubert and Virginia Price. Flowers will be accepted.

Additionally, friends may call at the home of Marie and Randy Wooten at any time, 15489 Porterfield Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210.
