Virginia Elizabeth Proffit Crane, age 81 passed away on Monday October 23, 2017 at Russell County Medical Center. She had lived in Abingdon for many years before moving to Chesapeake, Va. in 1977. There, she worked for the Christian Broadcasting Network for over 20 years. She returned to Abingdon 16 years ago. Although not able to attend Church, she enjoyed a strong Christian Faith. Virginia was an avid quilter and enjoyed all types of crafts.
Virginia is survived by four sons Roger and Daren of Abingdon; Jeffrey of Norfolk, Va., and Brent of Florida. A niece and 3 grandchildren also survive.
