Louise Taylor, 91, died June 4, in NHC Healthcare following a short illness.

She was born in Clinchburg, VA and lived in Broadford, VA before moving to English, WV and later to Abingdon, VA. She moved to Bristol, TN in 1980. She was living at Westhaven Retirement Living in Abingdon, VA at the time of her death. Louise was a member of the Christian Church in Blountville, TN and a former member of the Bristol YWCA. She was an active member of the Family and Community Education Club in Blountville where she was the chairperson in the Family Life Program.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude J. Taylor of 62 years; one daughter, Peggy McCrady of Albertville, AL; parents, Rev. Burton F. and Rosa Simcox DeBusk; two brothers, Dewey DeBusk of Clearwater, FL and Burton DeBusk, Jr. of Abingdon, VA.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph Taylor and wife, Laura of Bristol, TN and Ted Taylor and wife, Debbie of Kingsport, TN; one son-in-law, Robert McCrady of Albertville, AL; three sisters, Estella (Ted) Stephon of Abingdon, VA, Margaret Jackson of Bristol, VA and Charlotte Yarborough of Bristol, TN; one brother, Don C. DeBusk of Bristol, TN; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service located at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA on Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 7, 2010 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greendale Chapel, P.O. Box 1314, Abingdon, VA 24212.
