Wanda Jean Walton Wright

Bristol, TN – Wanda Jean Walton Wright, age 56, passed on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Wanda was a graduate of Marion Senior High School and was also the former owner of Little Bit’s Pizza and Wright Field Restaurant in Marion, VA. She was employed as a registered nurse for Baptist Hospital in Nashville, TN for 10 years, Family Physicians of Marion, VA for 20 years, and was currently employed with Amedisys Health Care. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Eugene and Eleanor Ruth “Bobbie” Vernon Walton.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 27 years, Tim Wright; son, Brett Wright and wife Whitney of Bristol, VA; grandson, Mason Lyle Wright; sister, Shelia Scott and husband Fred of Abingdon, VA; brother, Doug Walton and wife Josie of Albuquerque, NM; special aunt, Marty Voight; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Denny and Norma Wright of Abingdon, VA; sisters-in-law, Teresa Wright Turner, Lisa Meade, and Tammy Sandefur; brothers-in-law, Travis and Dennis Wright; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held 1-2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Stan Green and Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View United Methodist Church Cemetery.
