Wanda Martin Kestner, age 80, went to be with the Lord early on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, TN. She was born on February 25, 1934 to the late Homer and Elizabeth Martin. Mrs. Kestner was preceded in death by her husband Roy Kestner. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
Survivors are her children; Mary Seymore, Betty McNew, Horton Kestner and wife Regina, Joyce Braun and husband Jim, Dean Kestner and wife Kathy, Janie Henderson and husband Phil; one sister Elizabeth Stanley; special niece Sharon Kestner. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her many telephone friends also survive.
The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to Ashley, Mike, Home Health, Paula and Hospice for their love and kindness during her illness.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday March 5, 2014 in the Blackwell Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Spence officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Friends wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to The Wellmont Hospice House; 280 Steeles Road; Bristol, TN 37620
