Wayne Allen Musick, 70, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at his home.
He was born March 9, 1941 in Washington County, VA and was a son of the late W.T. and Bessie Kennon Musick. He was a career iron worker and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Meadowview, VA.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Musick; mother of his children, Nancy Musick; children, Ramona Owens, Jeff Musick and wife, Vicky and Becky Ratliff and husband, Allen all of Abingdon; step daughter, Donna King of York Co., VA; brother, Charles A. Musick and wife, Barbara of Damascus, VA; grandchildren, Shane, Candace and Brittney Owens and Clint, Matt, Cole and Ben Ratliff; step grandson, Anthony Allen; great grandchildren, Gage and Irelynd; nephews, Tommy and Lee Musick and his beloved dog, Fritz.
The family would also like to extend special thanks to the ladies of Fellowship Baptist Church, Hospice of Russell County, the staff of JMH Cancer Center and special caregiver, Dave Freeman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Meadowview, VA with Pastor Chad Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Boots Holman, Roy Poole, Larry Crane and friends at Snapp's Trading Post.
The family will receive friends at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 7, 2011.
