William "Bill" Seldon Morrison

William Seldon "Bill" Morrison, 69, died Saturday October 24, 2009 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County; a son of the late Luther and Chaucy Osborne Morrison. He was a member of High Point Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Dewey Morrison, David Morrison, and J. C. Morrison; and 2 sisters, Fonda Rutter and Irene Tuggle.
He is survived by his daughter, Shaun Morrison of Damascus and his former wife, Mary Morrison of Damascus; 5 sisters, Birdie Carr and husband Roy and Gladys Morrison, both of Winston-Salem, N.C., Mary O. Morrison of Damascus, Patty Megginson and husband Ed and Barbara Johnson and husband Larry, both of Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with the Rev. Dr. David Critcher officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to assemble at the cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, Tony Luttrell, Duane Buttry, Doug Barrett, Bobby W. Morrison, David Morrison, Jimmy Morrison, and Bobby Morrison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, P.O. Box 349, Norton, Va 24273.
