William Gilmer “Billy” Murray, age 69, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at his residence. His parents, William Emory Murray and Nora Parks Murray, welcomed triplets on January 29, 1952.
In addition to Billy’s parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Nancy Louise Poston Murray; and twin brothers, Johnny Murray and James Murray, Sr.
He is survived by his niece, Angel Willis and husband, Joey; and nephew, James Murray, Jr. and wife, Dawn, all of Abingdon, Va.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m.-1:45 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
