William (Bill) Sprinkle, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Bill was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He worked on the Santa Fe Railroad in Chicago, Illinois. He retired from a Chicago trucking Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert B. and Eliza Fraley Sprinkle and one brother, Frank Sprinkle.
He is survived by one sister, Sally Bentley and husband, Bruce Bentley, Sr. of Bristol, VA,; two brothers, Robert B. Sprinkle, Jr. and wife Nadine of Loganville, Georgia; Rev Charles (Jack) Sprinkle and wife, Virginia of Bristol, VA and extended family, the loving and caring residents and staff of Grand Court, Bristol, VA.
The funeral service for William (Bill) Sprinkle will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Interment will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Knollkreg Memorial Park. The family will assemble at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery, however, friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery at 10:45
Pallbearers will be Jeff Sprinkle, Jerrill Sprinkle, Sherman Sprinkle, Dr. Bruce Bentley, Jr., Luke Bentley, Carl Hearl and Joe Watson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contribution be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, 500, Washington, D. C. 20011. Phone contributions may be made by calling (202) 785-3355.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:45Pm Wednesday prior the funeral at the Main Street.
