William Wayne Moody, 69, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. He was a native of Washington County, Va. and was retired from Blevins Tire and Recapping.
Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his mother Euginia Grace Moody; father James Dean Moody; and sisters Carrie Lee Widener and Barbara Sue Lethcoe.
He is survived by his longtime companion Linda Singleton; sister Beulah Snead; brother Jimmy Moody; daughters Tiffany Moody Scott and Clarica Singleton; sons Buddy Alan Moody and Timothy Wayne Moody; grandchildren Alissa Trapp, Jessica Dudley, Amber Moody, Chelsey Moody, Timothy Toney, Timothy W. Moody, Lisa M. Moody, Joey Herron, Amira McNew, Brody McNew and Will McNew; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dean Moody, Randy Castle, Joey Herron, Keith Moody, Eric Able, and Roger Stophel. The family will receive friends at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service. Friends and family will process to the cemetery following the visitation.
