Winfreid Burke Fleenor, age 92, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She attended Kingsway Baptist Church.
She was born to the late Robert Lee Miller and Hallie Lillie Stockton Miller on March 3, 1920. She is also preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence K. "Bud" Miller, Robert L. Miller, Jr., and Hubert Russell Miller; three sisters, Irma Burroughs, Mary Lorene Harris, Ruth Cosby Blaylock; one grandson, Aaron B. Pope; and one great grandson, Ezra Egan.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James Earl Fleenor; one son, Terry D. (Suzi) Fleenor; one daughter, Cheryl (Ken) Pope; one sister, Margaret Evelyn Gobble; grandchildren, Allison (Randall) Egan; Kevin (Beth) Pope, and Steve (Lisa) Pope; great grandchildren, Kenny Pope, Meghan Pope, Paeyton Pope, and Paizlee Pope.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Todd Freeman officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kevin Pope, Steve Pope, Randall Egan, Kenny Pope, Paeyton Pope, and Richard Barnett.
