Adam Ray Roark

Abingdon, VA – Adam Ray “Paco” Roark, age 40, passed on Friday, February 2, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on April 11, 1983 and was the beloved son of Lisa and Will Ennis.  Adam was the husband to Sonya and a doting father to his sons, Austyn, Michael, and Alex. He is also survived by his sisters, Hope Leeper and husband Robert, Crystal Dea and husband Kenny and Trista Ennis and brother, Dereck Fitzwater and wife Jill. Several nieces and nephews, Savannah, Harper, Kaylee, Braedyn, Zander, Zendra, Zadren, Emma, Farnham, Aaden and Gilmer.

Adam was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Ratcliffe and grandparents, Marion and Goldie Roark and Mabel Ratcliffe.  His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.  Adam’s sudden passing came as a shock to all after a short illness.  He will be remembered for his kind heart and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

The funeral service to honor Adam will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Valley View Freewill Baptist Church with Pastors Brandon Hensley and Nick Shortridge officiating.  Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery with Brad Bailey, Eric Bailey, Derek Fitzwater, Derrick Smith, Randy Hensley, Caden DeBusk, Justin Stilner and Jeff Stiltner serving as pallbearers.  Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to service time at the church.
