Annis Mitchell Wagner

Glade Spring, VA – Annis Mitchell Wagner, age 83, passed on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Ballad Hospice House. Annis was a graduate of Abingdon High School and Johnston Memorial School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for 30 years, ending her career at Clifton Medical Services as a home nurse.

Annis attended Greendale Chapel and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan who enjoyed all sports, especially the Olympics. Annis loved to read books, especially her Bible and loved to make candy during the holiday season.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ethel Mink; husband, William T. “Chick” Wagner; and brother, Jimmy Mink.

Annis is survived by her son, Preston Wagner; daughter, Paige Wagner; sister, Sally Brown; brother, Billy Mink and wife Rita; grandchildren, Terry Wagner, Devon Wallstead, Tasha Wagner, Richard Siranko, Jr., Seth Wagner, and Ashley Wagner; great grandchildren, Rosie, Julian, Michael, Raffeal, Amelia, Gaius, and Freyja; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, in Old Glade Presbyterian Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Pallbearers will be Terry Wagner, Seth Wagner, Richard Siranko, Jr., Stuart Mink, Ron Mink, and Jerry Blackwell.
