Avery Patterson "Pat" Crouse

Avery Patterson "Pat" Crouse, age 66, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary "Tootie" Barr Crouse; parents, Ray Crouse and Vettie Victoria Harold Crouse; four brothers, Jessie Kevin, Donald, John Ray, and Ronnie Crouse; and a sister, Ina Grace Royall.
Pat is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Crouse; son, Jacob Crouse of Bristol, Tenn.; three daughters, Elaina Trivitt and husband, Michael, of Bluefield, Va.; Katie Chambers and husband, Justin, of the home; and Melissa Elliott, of North Carolina; step-son, Jacob McDiffett of Abingdon, Va.; step-daughter, Brenda McDiffett of Atkins, Va.; six siblings: Isaac Lynn Crouse and wife, Debbie; Dennis Crouse and wife, Marlene, all of North Carolina; Sandra Kyall and husband, Richard, of Georgia; Annette Brown and husband, Benny; Mary Alice Brown and husband, Leroy; and Pauline Williams and husband, Roger, all of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Janie, Shannon, Dakota, Hannah, Mattix, Kashton and Tanner; three step-grandchildren, Louella, LilyAnn, and Walker; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
