Barbara Anne Geiger Cornett

Abingdon, Va.

Barbara Geiger Cornett, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Vernon Geiger and Barbara Allen Geiger on January 28, 1942, in Minneapolis, MN.

In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Cornett and two brothers, Jerry Geiger and Michael Geiger.

Barbara is survived by her two sons, David (Kim) Lindgren of Abingdon and Charles (Tara) Lindgren of Colorado; two grandsons, Matthew Lindgren of Colorado and Ryan Lindgren of Texas and her brother, Steven (Cathy) Geiger of Bend, OR.

Barbara was a generous person that had a beautiful smile. She loved music, watching movies, needle point, animals and spending time with family and friends. She loved traveling, including many trips to Hawaii and Arizona. Gardening was also a love of hers, spending many hours tending her flowers. But above all, her greatest love were her sons.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
