Bess Hope Ryburn

Bess Hope Ryburn, age 95, of Meadowview, Va., passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Commonwealth Senior Living. She was born to the late William Thomas Ryburn and Margaret Katherine Preston Ryburn. Bess was a member of Rock Spring Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, William Samuel “Sam” Ryburn, Sr.; and two brothers-in-law, James R. Reed and Jack R. Minton.

Bess is survived by her twin sister, Emily Ryburn Reed of Stuart, Va.; two additional siblings, Katherine Ryburn Minton of Wytheville, Va. and Thomas Preston Ryburn and wife, Dorothy, of Abingdon, Va.; sister-in-law, Laura D. Ryburn of Abingdon, Va.; and four nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum of Knollkreg Memorial Park with the Rev. Susanne Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park.
