Beulah Mae “Bea” Musser, age 104, of Stanley, North Carolina, formerly of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Bea was born on July 12, 1921, in Abingdon, Virginia, to Ashley and Dolly Rhoten.
Bea was remembered as a kind and gentle woman, the beloved matriarch of her family, whose life was rooted in faith as a devoted believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a talented and creative woman, known for her painted ceramics, quilts, and needlework, and she expressed her love by generously sharing these intricate and beautifully crafted creations with others.
Family was central to Bea’s life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Musser, and her children Johnny Musser, Roger Musser, and Betty Wallace. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Martin; grandchildren Robin Stump (Roger), Roger “Skipper” Musser (Michelle), Errol “Kip” Wallace (Mary), David Musser (Rhonda), and Angi Waldo (Kevin); and great-grandchildren Courtney Browning (Jesse), Nickolas Waldo, Patrick Waldo, Thomas Waldo, Justice Musser, Marley Jane Musser, and John David Musser.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Abingdon Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Farris Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens 19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, Va 24210.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in support of childhood cancer research.
