Beulah May Nunley, age 94, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023, at her residence in Abingdon. She was born in Washington County, Virginia to the late John Reynolds and Lorie Tedder Reynolds on May 2, 1929. She loved the Lord and was a member of Morning Star Church in Hansonville, VA. Beulah loved many things in her life, including tending her garden, canning, and being an excellent cook, but above all she loved her family and spending time with them and cooking meals for them.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith Nunley; her daughter, Thelma Musick; two sons, Randy Nunley and Maynard Nunley; sister, Minnie Nunley; four brothers, James, Marvin, Paul and Warden Reynolds.
Survivors include her three daughters, Lois Miller (Wayford), Bonnie Wise (Eugene) and Loretta Damron (Silas); two sons, Raymond Nunley and Ellis Junior Nunley (Patsy); twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren and one on the way.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel with Rev. Silas Damron and Gary Damron officiating, with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the residence of Ms. Nunley following the burial.
The pallbearers will be Brandon Damron, Clayton Roe, Tyler Crane, Nick Damron, Landon Damron, Brayden Wise and Daniel Neece. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wayford Miller, Eugene Wise, James Musick, Dudley Musick, Johnny Honaker, Justin Musick, Kamen Wise, Austin Burke, Jeremy Riner and Cody Riner.
