Billy Edward Fullen, Jr departed this life on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at VCU Medical Center.  Billy, Jr was preceded in death by his mother, Verna Fullen, his older brother Marshall Fuqua and most recently his wife, Serena Fullen.

Billy Jr. was born on April 15, 1976, in Abingdon, VA and was a graduate of Abingdon High School where he played basketball.  Billy received his IT certification and worked for Eastman through Tele-Optics for several years.  He followed in the footsteps of his father, received his CDL license and drove a truck for Blue Rhino and US Foods. He owned and operated Fullen Hydroseeding.

Those that knew Billy Jr. knew that he was a “foodie”, he loved to cook and was the family grill master for holiday cookouts, birthday gatherings or just any day of the week.  He was a huge fan of the Los Angeles Lakers from the days of Magic Johnson, and he loved the Virginia Tech Hokies.  Whenever you would see him out, he always wore Virginia Tech swag.  As soon as it began to get warm outside, Billy Jr would break out the croquet set and as a family we would spend endless hours playing croquet.  Billy Jr was baptized in Jesus’ name on February 23, 1984, and received the Holy Spirt on August 23, 1987. He was a lifelong member of Greater King's Chapel where he served as Deacon and played the drums even as a child.

Left to his cherish his memory is his father, Billy Fullen, Sr, his sons Nathaniel Fullen and Keegan Fullen, his sisters, Helen Fuqua, and Cynthia Clark (Melvin) and his sister-in-law Penny Fuqua.  He is also survived by nephews Cody Fuqua and Noah Clark; a niece Briana LaForce and great nieces Aayliah and Wrenley Fuqua and great nephew Lincoln Fuqua.

Billy Jr is also survived by his maternal aunt, Mary Ann Bowers, paternal aunt Virginia Fullen as well as paternal uncles, George Fullen, Ennis Fullen and Ricky Fullen as well as numerous cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Greater King's Chapel, 244 A Street, Abingdon, VA 24210. A homegoing service will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm at Greater Kings Chapel. The burial will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Noah Clark, Ronnie Norris, Cody Fuqua, Chris Brown, Jeff Fullen and Kevin Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Fuqua, John Fullen, James Fullen and Warren Lindsey.
