Abingdon, VA – Brantley Owen Parris, born March 20, 2013, passed on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Brantley attended Glade Spring Middle School and New Beginnings Church. He loved playing video games, hiking, and playing the guitar. He also loved spending time with family and friends. Brantley was a dedicated Nirvana fan. Nothing made him happier than when he was playing his favorite Nirvana songs on his guitar. He was smart, artistic, skillful and loved by so many. His impact on the world will never be forgotten. As Brantley would say, “Bazinga”.
He is survived by his parents, April Nicole Parris and husband Jordan Christein, and Joshua Bowers and wife Haley Dillard; maternal grandparents, Lisa and Jim Testerman; paternal grandparents, Steven Bowers and Frances Fugate; great grandfather, Gayther Testerman; siblings, Damian Wheeler, Ethan Wheeler, Rowan Bowers, Faith Lopez, Coraline Bowers, Rachel Bowers, and Emma Bowers; aunts, Victoria Callahan, Courtney Bowers, and Kenzie Bowers; and uncles, Justin Worden and Isaac Testerman.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at New Beginnings Church, 10495 Forest Hills Dr, Glade Spring, VA 24340, with Pastor Jeff Wallace officiating.
