Brenda Carol Vestal

Brenda Vestal age 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN.

Brenda was born in Abingdon, VA to the late R.C. Loyd and Addie Ellison Loyd. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Vestal. Brenda was retired schoolteacher for over 30 years in Washington County, VA and two years in Johnson County, TN. She received her doctorate degree in psychiatric care from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She was devout Catholic and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bristol, VA.

She is survived by her brothers Robert “Jr.” Loyd, Jr., Tony Loyd, and Terry Lyod & wife Kathy, and a special friend Barbara Nichols.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Reverend Craig Wylie officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00PM on Friday the Main Street Chapel.
