Charles Lee Counts

Charles Lee Counts, age 80, passed on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.  Charlie was owner of Charlie Counts Construction for many years.  He enjoyed restoring old cars and motorcycles as well as spending time with family. He had a special laugh and never met a stranger.  Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Edward and Margaret Virginia Vaught Counts; and brothers, Eddie Counts and R.L. Counts.

He is survived by two daughters, Dana Counts and Norma (Syl) Garza; siblings, Jennie Counts, Brenda Ketron, Jerry Wayne (Shawntella) Counts, Bill (Pam) Counts, Rocky (Angela) Counts, Ron (Tracey) Counts, and Michael Counts; two grandchildren, Jeremy Meade and Zachary (Shelley) Meade; great grandson, Cooper Meade; the mother of his daughter’s and life-time friend, Dianna Jackson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, in Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Joel Kirk officiating.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
