Charles Lee Foster

Abingdon, VA - Charles Lee Foster, age 83, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, VA.  He was born on July 25, 1939, to the late John William Foster and Iretta Ross Huntley Foster, Abingdon, VA (Wyndale Community). He was of the Baptist faith. A graduate of Douglas High School, Bristol, VA. Retired from Westinghouse, Abingdon, VA.

Charles loved hunting, powerlifting, weightlifting (Charlie’s Gym), growing things (Farmer’s Market), antique cars, car shows (Tri-Cities Corvette Club) and lottery.  He is survived by his sisters Doris Ann Wellington, Nancy Jane Johnson, Tallahassee, FL, brothers Doug (Ruby) Foster, Yuba City, CA., Joe Louis Foster, Abingdon, VA. Host of other family members and friends.

Viewing will be from 6pm to 8pm Friday, November 25, 2022, at Farris Funeral Service Main Street Chapel.  Graveside services will be held at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 2pm. Presiding will be Dr. Rev. William J. Reid and Pastor David Gibson.
