Constance Gail Lowe

Constance Gail Shamblin Lowe, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She lived a life filled with faith, travel, and devotion to her family. Fondly known as Mom and Nana, she will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and deep love of family.

She was born in Richlands to the late Robert W. and Virginia Ruth McGlothlin Shamblin. Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Freeman Lowe, and her brother, Ronald Shamblin. She is survived by her brother, Robert H. Shamblin (Ellen), and her five children: Donna Gail Gooding, Michael Freeman Lowe, Sarah Kaye Ballenberger, Karen Ruth Bernard, and Tammy Rose Cochran; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was a co-owner of Don Lowe Food Distribution Center in Pompano, Florida, and retired soon after her husband’s death.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant View Methodist Church, 18416 Lee Highway, Abingdon, Virginia. A visitation and reception will follow the service.
