Danny Wayne Widner

Danny Wayne Widner, age 64, passed away on April 30, 2026, in Abingdon, Virginia. He was born on July 1, 1961, to the late Albert (Ab) and Mary Alice Widner.

Danny attended high school in Sullivan County, Tennessee. He worked in Abingdon as the manager of the Worx, for several years. 

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his siblings, Patsy Keeling, Ester Denton, Jim Widner; nephew, David Baumgardner; brothers-in-law, Ray Baumgardner, Roger "Boze" Parks and jimmy Montgomery.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Widner, his siblings, Roger Widner (Rachel), Bertha Baumgardner, Kathy Parks, Sheri Cox (Rick), Cindy Montgomery, Barbara Coleman (Justin) and brothers-in-law Larry Denton and Steve Keeling. His extended family includes several nieces and nephews who will recall his presence with affection.

A graveside service to honor Danny’s memory will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm,  at Greenwood Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia with Brother Mike Norris officiating.
