David Wayne Arden

David Wayne Arden, age 67, passed away on January 3, 2023, in Abingdon. He was born on September 21, 1955, to the late Claude J. Arden and Joyce Clark Arden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Arden.

David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Denise K. Arden; son, Joey (Amanda) Arden; daughter, Nicole (John) Sweet; four grandchildren, Dalton Arden, Easton Sweet, Archer Arden, and Gunner Sweet; two sisters, Dorothy (Paul) Worley and Michelle Reynolds; his special aunt, Eleanor; his in-laws, Willis and Georgia Kiser, Roger (Susan) Kiser and Ricky Kiser along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

David enjoyed many things, including old cars, fishing, camping, watching westerns and spending time with his family, but above all things, he truly loved his grandsons, they were the light of his life.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM with a graveside service to follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
