David Erik Coulthard

David Erik Coulthard, 53, beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away suddenly on December 18, 2024.

David’s childhood was spent in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a 1990 graduate of Abingdon High School and a 2012 graduate of Emory & Henry University.

David loved to fish and spend time with his friends and family. He was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and rarely missed a game.

David was preceded in death by his father, William David Coulthard. He is survived by his son, Jacob Coulthard; mother, Betty Joan Coulthard; sisters, Kim Coulthard and Lisa Coulthard Weikel (Walter); nephews, Sam Weikel, Mark Weikel, and Jackson Weikel-Sandstrom (Amethy); and several aunts and uncles.

David was a good man with a big heart and strong morals. He was respected for his character, was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2025.
