David Leon Statzer

Dec 8, 1964 — Jul 12, 2026

Meadowview, VA

David Leon Statzer passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, a man whose life was defined by unwavering devotion to his family, loyal friendships, and a strong work ethic. David’s greatest pride was not found in possessions or accomplishments, but in the people he loved and the life he built alongside them.

David was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Allison Pickrell Statzer, and a proud and loving father to his son, Jacob Wade Statzer. His family was the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Born on December 8, 1964, David was preceded in death by his loving parents, Doris Roark Statzer and Henry Dean Statzer; as well as his brothers, Henry Dean Statzer Jr. and Kenneth Daryl Statzer. Though they welcomed him home in eternity, their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

He leaves behind his sisters, Brenda Eades and Patricia Hughes, along with a family who loved him deeply. He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews, Derek Johnson, Matthew Eades, Colin Eades, and Devin Statzer; his nieces, Lisa Miller and Adrianna Isaacs; and other cherished family members, Cameron Miller and Phoenix Miller. His love for his family extended across generations, and he treasured each of them.

David spent his career doing what he loved. A skilled mechanic and machinist, he worked at several automobile dealerships throughout Virginia and North Carolina. He took great pride in honest, hard work and earned the respect of his coworkers through his dedication, knowledge, and willingness to help others.

Outside of work, David found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Observation Knob Campground, talking about life and sharing laughter. He loved playing the guitar, listening to music, and was an avid NASCAR fan who could always be found cheering on his favorite drivers. These passions reflected his easygoing spirit and his appreciation for life’s everyday moments.

David carried the values of perseverance, humility, and kindness throughout his life. Those who knew him will remember a man with a generous heart, quiet strength, and unwavering loyalty to the people he loved. He was someone you could depend on—a husband who loved deeply, a father who led by example, a brother and uncle who cared sincerely, and a friend whose presence made others feel at home.

Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is one of faithfulness, hard work, friendship, and, above all, love for his family.
