Don Ruffin Fuqua

Abingdon, VA – Don Ruffin Fuqua, age 92, passed on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. Don enjoyed drawing, wildlife, and spending time with his cats. He was a news contributor for the Baltimore Sun for 34 years.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Abner and Dorothy Hazelwood Fuqua; and several siblings. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Masuco Fuqua; special friends, Anthony Dickenson and Kim Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside will be held in Knollkreg Memorial Park with Pastor David Robins officiating.
