Edna B. Camper Vannoy

Abingdon, VA – Edna Beatrice Camper Vannoy, age 88, passed on Thursday, November 17, 2022, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Vannoy was an employee of Gordon Garmet and a member of Alvarado Bible Church for many years.  She loved a good laugh, farming, and growing vegetables.

Mrs. Vannoy was preceded in death by her parents, George Monroe Camper and Belle Reed Camper; husband, Dan Franklin Vannoy; son, Eddie Vannoy; and daughter, Ruth Ann Paust.

She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Thomas; son, Robert Vannoy; sisters, Jean Conner and husband Doug, and Joann Norwood; brother, Grant Camper; eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service.
