Eugene Richard Adams

Abingdon, VA – Eugene Richard Adams, age 60, passed on Monday, June 23, 2025, at his home. Eugene was born October 6, 1964, in Detroit, MI to Eugene and Evelyn Tyler Adams. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a contractor for many years. Eugene is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Adams, and sister, Joyce Arledge.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Muncy Adams; children, Hunter Gene Adams and Sumer Rae Adams and significant other Logan Justus; mother, Evelyn Tyler Adams; brother, Bill Adams; grandchildren, Easton Ryan Horn, Brynley Rae Horn, and William Drake Justus; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025, in Sword’s Creek Block Church, 4693 Sword’s Creek Road, Sword’s Creek, Virginia 24649. Pastor Steve Perkins will officiate.
